Coach Bio

Rachel Kay is entering her first season as head coach of the cheerleading squad.

Rachel Kay has been choreographing music videos, live performances and directing events for over 14 years.

Rachel has been privileged enough to have been apart of “So You Think You Can Dance” as a choreographer’s assistant from 2006- 2009, was a co-choroegrapher for the Florida Orange Bowl games in 2007 and 2008, and assisted with Corbin Bleu’s music video “Push it to the Limit.” Rachel Kay was a dancer and assistant choreographer for the 2004 MTV Movie Awards starring Lindsey Lohan, Marques Houston, and Omarion Grandberry. She was also the head choreographer for the Discovery Kids TV show “Hip Hop Harry.” And if that isn’t enough, Rachel also styled the dancers for the Marques Houston’s music video “Wonderful” and Omarion ft. Kat Deluna’s “Cut Off Time.”

Rachel was the head choreographer of the summer musical “High School Musical” and the 2016 Spring Musical “The Addams Family” for the Calabasas High School Theater program. In these shows she choreographed many different numbers from jazz funk to hip hop to cheer.

Rachel AKA Coach Kay is certified in Spirit Safety by the AACCA and trained in CPR and First Aid. Coach Kay has worked with cheer and hip hop teams that include: Birmingham HS, Campbell Hall Episcopal, Bishop Alemany HS and was the head coach of the Calabasas Cheer Team for 6 years and the Calabasas Hip Hop Team for two years.
