Alicia Komaki

Coach

Alicia Komaki is entering her fifth season as Head Coach of the Girls Basketball team.  During her first three seasons at the helm, she won back to back to back State Championships.  Last season, she led the Trailblazers to the quarterfinals of the CIF State Open Division Championships.   In 2015, she guided the Trailblazers to the Gold Coast League Championship.  At Sierra Canyon, Komaki has an overall record of 103-26 and has won a minimum of 23 games in each season.

What is your favorite part of coaching?  “What I enjoy most about being a high school coach is seeing the growth as a person and an athlete that occurs over a four year span.  It is my responsibility to make sure these girls are more prepared for life than when they arrived.”

What makes coaching at Sierra Canyon special? “The community of coaches and administrative support.  Good people coaching great kids.”

What is your fondest memory as an athlete? “Winning the CIF Championship and defeating the #1 ranked team in the country.”
