Baseball: Sierra Canyon shut out Burbank, wins all three games during Spring Break


Sierra Canyon breezes through Spring Break action

The Sierra Canyon baseball team took a break from Mission League play and breezed through three nonleague games during Spring Break.

The Trailblazers took down Warren, Saugus and Burbank.

Sierra Canyon shut out Saugus 5-0 and Burbank 13-0.

In the 13-0 victory, it was the return of Brayden Charness. The sophomore left-hander tossed 2  2/3 innings, giving up two walks with six strikeouts. Charness was nursing a minor arm injury the last several weeks.

Desi Delgado had two hits and two runs scored. Austin Jahng had two hits. Greyson Gullage belted a grand slam home run.

Andrew Nelson, Julian Areliz and Ethan Montes each had a hit. Montes had two RBI’s.

Sierra Canyon is 12-6-2 with seven Mission Leagues remaining.
