Sierra Canyon girls basketball is 19-1 overall

The Sierra Canyon girls basketball team can’t wait for the Open Division playoffs to start.

Until then, the Trailblazers will have to settle for blowout victories.

Sierra Canyon easily dispatched of Alemany and Notre Dame this past week in league contests. The Trailblazers also took care of Francis Parker of San Diego in a nonleague game at Arcadia HS.

In the 90-33 win over Alemany, Mackenly Randolph scored 28 points, grabbed six rebounds and had five assists and five steals.

Louisville-bound Izela Arenas had 19 points and six rebounds, Jerzy Robinson had 17 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, and Kayla Malek had a career-high 10 assists.

Randolph scored 31 points, grabbed 22 rebounds ad had six assists and five steals in a dominating performance.

Sierra Canyon had 101 points after three quarters.

Robinson had 25 points, 12 rebounds and four assists, Arenas had 24 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Malek had 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. Christy Reynoso had 14 points and freshman Sydney Roberson had five points, four assists, and two steals.

In the 91-36 victory against Francis Parker, Robinson had 34 points, nine rebounds and four steals, Randolph had 20 points and 12 rebounds and Arenas had 18 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.

New Jersey-transfer Ashley Redd had 10 points, six rebounds and two assists.

The Trailblazers play at Marlborough and Harvard-Westlake this week with nonleague games against Birmingham and Valencia.
