Team Uses Balanced Approach to Score Upset

In just two plus seasons, the Sierra Canyon Lacrosse Team has made some significant strides. Under third year coach Mario Waibel, the Trailblazers have gone from a team with an 1-11 record in his first season to a team that is ranked #15 in the preseason according Max Lacrosse. Yesterday, the team took another solid step forward by beating Crespi 13-9.

Senior Guard Devearl Ramsey Featured on Fox Sports News

Senior team captain Devearl Ramsey has done a lot during his teenage years at Sierra Canyon. Ramsey won the U16 and U17 World Championships representing the United State of America, has won three consecutive Gold Coast League Championships, and led the Trailblazers to their first ever California State Championship last year. The University of Nevada-Reno commit is looking for one more prize, the CIF Southern Section Open Division Championship.

On a loaded Sierra Canyon School basketball roster, Devearl Ramsey stands out as one of the nation’s top point guards.

Boys Advance to Open Division Finals

February 26th was a date that each member of the boys basketball team had circled on their calendar for the entire year. The winner of tonight’s game would have a chance to face the #1 ranked team in the country, the Chino Hills Huskies in the most difficult regional championship in the country, the CIF Southern Section Open Division Championship. The Trailblazers did not disappoint in their resounding victory over #2 seeded Bishop Montgomery, 78-69.

Catching up with QB Niko Harris

Fresh off of leading Sierra Canyon to its second CIF Southern Section Championship, junior quarterback Niko Harris sat down with Ryan Wright of Recruitynewsguru.com to discuss the season and his recruiting prospects. Harris threw for 3,260 yards and 47 touchdowns during his junior year and is looking to have better numbers next fall.

Lady Trailblazers Advance to Semi-Finals

For the first time in school history, the Sierra Canyon Girls Basketball team has advanced to the semi-finals of the CIF Southern Section Open Division. Despite winning three consecutive State Championships in Division IV and Division V, the Trailblazers have never advanced this far in the Southern Section Open. Alexis Griggsby led the team with 22 points in the upset of #2 ranked Brea Olinda.
