Sierra Canyon just misses on winning championship in Hawaii

The Sierra Canyon girls basketball team traveled to the prestigious Iolani Classic in Hawaii and just missed on winning the championship after a close 49-48 setback against Sidwell Friends of Washington, D.C.

Jerzy Robinson scored 17 points and had four rebounds and three assists to lead the Trailblazers.

Emilia Krstevski scored 11 points with six rebounds and four blocks, Izela Arenas scored 11 points and Mac Randolph had nine points, 10 rebounds and three assists.

In earlier games during the week, Sierra Canyon knocked off Iolani 72-38 and Campbell 70-21.

Robinson scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds against Iolani and had 21 points with 17 rebounds against Campbell.

Arenas had 13 points and three assists against Iolani and poured in 21 points with six rebounds, four assists and five steals against Campbell.

Randolph had 19 points, 12 rebounds and six assists against Iolani while going for 18 points, nine rebounds, three assists and five steals against Campbell.

Krstevski had 10 points, seven rebounds and four blocks against Campbell.

Sierra Canyon currently is ranked No. 2 in the nation by ESPN.
