Sierra Canyon girls basketball wins West Coast Jamboree

The Sierra Canyon girls basketball team won its second tournament of the year after an impressive 68-57 victory against Folsom in the West Coast Jamboree tournament at Dublin HS.

Mackenly Randolph scored 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in the final and was named tourney MVP.

Emilia Krstevski, a sophomore center, scored 20 points and had 11 rebounds. Jerzy Robinson, a sophomore transfer from Arizona, scored 13 points. Jaylen Samuel contributed nine points and four assists.

The Trailblazers knocked off Sage Hill of Newport Coast in the semifinals, 81-57.

Randolph had 25 points, six rebounds and four assists. Robinson scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Louisville-bound guard Izela Arenas scored 15 points with four assists and Krstevski had 13 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks.

In an opening round victory against Edge HS from Calgary, Canada, Sierra Canyon came away with a 69-53 victory.

Randolph scored 22 points with five rebounds. Robinson had 17 points and 12 rebounds. Arenas scored 14 points and had nine rebounds.

Sierra Canyon hosts Harvard-Westlake this Tuesday at 6 p.m. to open up Mission League play.

Sierra Canyon head coach Alicia Komaki notched her 300th victory with the championship game win against Folsom.
