The Sierra Canyon football team had no letdown looking ahead to its Mission League first-place showdown game for week 9.

The Trailblazers didn’t get caught looking ahead as they took care of business with a 48-0 Mission League victory against Alemany.

Dane Dunn led the way with 85 yards rushing on 13 carries and scored two touchdowns.

Sierra Canyon (8-0, 3-0) amassed 256 yards on the ground on 29 carries.

Terrell Cooks, freshman Jaxsen Stokes and Jesse Lepore each rushed for a touchdown. Cooks caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Wyatt Becker.

Becker finished 9 for 23 for 79 yards and threw an interception.

Sierra Canyon led 34-0 at halftime and took a commanding 20-0 lead after one quarter thanks to two mishandled snaps on Alemany punt attempts.

The Trailblazers now look to a showdown with Serra of Gardena for first place. The game will be at Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth at 7 p.m. Friday.

Sierra Canyon is expected to be a top 4 seed in the Division 1 playoffs starting Nov. 3rd.
