Don’t look now, but the Sierra Canyon boys and girls cross country teams are making some real noise with a very successful season.

Aidan Jones won his second league meet this year after clocking 15:54 over a three-mile course at Brentwood on Monday. Jones not only won for the second time this year; it helped the Trailblazers to a 3rd-place finish and 89 points. Both of those marks are school records for the boys program. Following Jones in order were Mariano Del Castillo, Ben Graham, ALex Booker and Jordan Juceum.

Isis Diaz finished in second place to lead the girls at Brentwood. Diaz overcame severe breathing issues and is gearing up for the section finals and state championships. Diaz was followed by Celia Vaughn, Viktoria Balbin, Em Chong and Alissa Pfeffer.

The boys and girls will run in the prestigious Clovis Invitational this weekend near Fresno. Coach Troy Samuels and the runners will be ready.

Go Trailblazers!
