The Sierra Canyon girls tennis team was off to such a promising start. The Trailblazers won their first four matches this year.

However, hard times have hit and Sierra Canyon is trying to shake a six match losing streak. The Trailblazers are just 2-10 in their last 12 matches played.

After a 12-6 nonleague setback to Marshall of Pasadena, Sierra Canyon has found the going rough in Gold Coast League play with setbacks against Crossroads (11-7), Brentwood (14-4), Viewpoint (9-9, 83-73 on games), Campbell Hall (17-1) and Windward (15-3).

The girls are still competing hard and optimistic about a turnaround in the second half of league.

Samantha Hariz won a singles set against Windward, Chloe Barakat took the lone point against Campbell hall with a singles set victory, Hariz won all three of her singles sets against Viewpoint and Barakat won two sets, Barakat won her singles set against Brentwood while the doubles duo of Lily Tucker and Coco Crevoiserat swept at doubles. Tucker won two singles sets agains Crossroads and Frankie Mosley/Barakat won two doubles sets. Tucker won three singles sets against Marhsall and Angelina Chiang/Crevoiserat swept at doubles.

Sierra Canyon still has each team in league left to play and a nonleague match with Buckley before the league playoffs begin.
