Sierra Canyon, Nike Elite Baseball Announce three year agreement

Chatsworth, Calif – Sierra Canyon and Nike Elite Baseball have announced an exclusive three year agreement. The Nike Elite program is designed to partner with top high school programs in the country and who represent the Nike brand in a positive manner. The baseball team will join the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams as members of this Elite program.

Sierra Canyon is just one of ten schools in the country to be selected as a Nike Elite baseball school and will join Mater Dei of Santa Ana as the only two schools in the state of California. These schools will be outfitted in all of the brand new clothing lines and shoes that Nike has to offer in the baseball industry.

“To partner with Nike is a great opportunity for Sierra Canyon and to help build our brand,” said first year head coach Jerry Royster. “We look forward to wearing the Nike logo as we continue to build Sierra Canyon baseball into a state and national power.”

“We look forward to working with Sierra Canyon in the coming years,” said Ryan Sudenga from Nike brand marketing.   “We have an outstanding relationship with Jerry.  We are confident that a program under Jerry will represent Nike well.”

Last season, Sierra Canyon advanced into the round of 16 in Division 2 and expectations are high for the Trailblazers this season. “We lost three valuable seniors last season but with the depth of our program, we should have a great season,” said Royster.
